The company introduced the modern head unit for the classic models until 1993 release.
Let’s say you have a classic Porsche 911, and you want to equip it with a navigation system that is integrated into the dashboard and, above all, does not destroy such a favorite of many classic atmospheres in the cabin. This is obviously one of the first world problems that the separation of Porsche Classic was solved. Engineers have worked a little, and presented the head unit, which combines the navigation system, radio and media player in various formats. According to the developers, the device is “a classic on the outside, but inside-the-art.”

The “head” becomes perfectly into a standard socket size 1 DIN, which has been used in sports cars for decades, and is controlled by two knobs, buttons and six built-touch 3.5-inch display. The device fits into the dashboard of the classic models of Porsche, thanks to its black surface and shape of the handles. The head unit is designed to fit in all the 911 cars from the first generation to generation with an index of 993 mid-1990s.

The “head” can also be installed on earlier models with front and a mid-layout. Interestingly, the device also includes interfaces for external storage of music sources, including smartphones, which can be connected via Bluetooth. The new system is available immediately in the shop Porsche Classic at the price of 1338 dollars.
