New hybrid Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid was officially unveiled

The German company Porsche officially unveiled the hybrid version of hatchback Panamera second generation – Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid of 2017 model year. Public premiere of “green” innovation will take place at the Paris Motor Show.

New hybrid Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid received the power plant, which includes a 2.9-liter V6 petrol biturbo engine, which develops 330 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Engine works together with an electric motor installed in front of transmission, and it generates 136 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Electric motor, in its turn, is charged by a block of lithium-ion battery, which capacity was increased from 9.4 to 14.1 kW / h. The total output of the hybrid power unit of the new Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid makes 462 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The hybrid propulsion system is combined with an 8-speed transmission PDK and an all-wheel drive system.

As it is noted in the company, the electric motor of the new Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid starts to work right after pressing the accelerator pedal, while in the first-generation model it comes into play only if the pedal has been depressed for more than 80% of its maximum stroke. The new hybrid car is able to gain first “hundred” in 4.6 seconds, 0.9 seconds faster than its predecessor. Maximum speed is 278 km / h (the hybrid of the first generation – 270 km / h).
