Hybrid Porsche Panamera will get new version with V8 engine

Recently it became known that German manufacturer decided to upgrade Panamera hybrid model and bring it to the market. New generation will be equipped with powerful eight-cylinder engine.

Previously it was reported that new Porsche Panamera will receive two plug-in versions. This information was confirmed by the brand management. Now it is known that new environmentally friendly vehicles will get hybrid power installation which will include mighty eight-cylinder petrol engine. It is not a secret that upcoming car will show demonstrate high performance, better dynamics than existing Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.

Current modification of the hybrid Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is equipped with 2.9-liter 6-cylinder engine and an electric motor. All hybrid installation produces outstanding 462 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. 4.6 seconds is needed by the car to accelerate from zero to the first hundred. According to mass media, the project of hybrid Panamera with V8 engine is ready and in the near future it will be considered by the company. A set of rechargeable batteries which are the part of technical equipment of the second modification of the “green” model, as well as an electric motor will remain the same.
