The company plans to equip all Porsche sports car versions of the 911 turbo with engines only after the next model update. The emergence of a new family of 911-x is planned for autumn 2015.
It is expected that the basic version of the updated Porsche 911 will receive a 2.9-liter turbo engine, instead of the current 3.4-liter boxer “aspirated”. Engine power will be around 400 horsepower, and torque – 540 Nm, which is 50 powers and 150 Nm more than the sports car on sale now.

At the same time the engine Carrera S retain the current level of 3.8 liters. However, the turbo will allow the unit to increase an additional 130 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque – up to 530 hp and 705 Nm. New engines have to ensure the best efficiency and environmental performance.
