Porsche Mission E is a model with a remote control

The first serial EV Porsche-Mission E will be able to update the software by Over-the-Air technology. The remote control unit will allow resetting the electric motor’s output according to Oliver Bloom, the chairman of Porsche Company. He also noticed that Mission E would be available in several power versions.

The updated model will receive an 800-volt high-speed charging system developed jointly with Hitachi Japanese Company. This system is able to fill the traction battery by 80% in 15 minutes. The driving distance is supposed to be more than 500 km. It is also known that the new car will be self-driving electric vehicle although this topic is not a priority for the company. Some of the Porsche’s electrical stuffing (for example, battery packs) will intersect with the technical elements of Audi electric car. Nevertheless, Mission E will be based on its own platform (the chassis components will be shared with Panamera).

According to the latest data, Mission E production version will complement the auto market in late 2019. It is probably that the model will get another name. The car manufacturing will take a place in Zuffenhausen. The Company will invest 700 million Euros.
